English for Hotel Industry
“English for the Hotel Industry” is a course designed for individuals working in the hotel industry who want to improve their English language skills. The course covers a range of topics including:
Vocabulary related to the industry such as hotel facilities, room types, and services offered
Grammar and sentence structures used in the hotel industry such as writing emails, taking reservations, and providing information to guests
Business English for the hotel industry, such as how to communicate with clients, suppliers, and colleagues, make presentations and attend meetings.
Telephone and email communication, including taking reservations, handling complaints and providing information to guests
Reading and understanding hotel policies and procedures, such as health and safety, customer service, and emergency procedures.
Cultural awareness and understanding the different communication styles and expectations of guests from different countries or backgrounds.
Throughout the course, students will engage in interactive activities and real-life scenario discussions to enhance their fluency and confidence in using English in a hotel setting. Role-plays and simulations will be used to provide students with practice in common hotel industry situations such as check-in and check-out, providing information, and handling complaints. By the end of the course, students will be able to communicate effectively with guests, understand their needs, and provide a positive guest experience. They will also be able to understand and interpret hotel policies and procedures and have a sense of cultural awareness of different communication styles and customer expectations.
The course will also cover the writing skills necessary for the industry such as writing emails, taking reservations and providing information to guests.
