Certified Nursing Assistant

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are essential members of the healthcare team, providing basic care and support to patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and long-term care facilities. CNAs fulfill basic quality-of-life needs for patients of any age in residential nursing care facilities or outpatient clinics. The most common responsibilities are taking and recording vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure; assisting patients to and from their beds/chairs if needed; and helping them with feeding and personal hygiene. CNAs also assist doctors or nurses during medical procedures.

Who are Certified Nursing Assistants?

The CNA course will lead to an international certification by the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), which is globally accredited. Students will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to become a successful CNA in Abu Dhabi and provide high-quality care to patients.

The curriculum will cover a range of topics, including patient care and hygiene, medical terminology, communication and teamwork, and professionalism and ethics. Students will also learn how to assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.

Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to practice their skills in simulated clinical settings and gain hands-on experience working with patients. Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared to take the AMCA CNA certification exam and enter the workforce as CNAs. This course is a great option for individuals who are interested in a career in healthcare and want to make a difference in the lives of patients.

In order to be eligible for this course, students need to have a high school diploma or equivalent. This program is suitable for professionals in other fields who wish to enter the medical field for a career change.

Upon completion of the course and certification exam, CNAs are expected to adhere to a code of ethics and maintain their certification through continuing education and professional development. EduPlus offers the clinical internship in partnership with Abu Dhabi based hospitals. With dedication and compliance to the training, a career as a CNA can be rewarding and fulfilling for those who are passionate about helping others.
