Preparatory OET
What is OET?
Occupational English Test (OET) is specifically designed for healthcare professionals who want to work or study in English-speaking countries such as the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand. Unlike the IELTS, the OET is a language proficiency test that is specific to the medical sector. The test is made up of medical language and terminology. Therefore, OET helps you to communicate effectively in the workplace, and it is considered much easier for healthcare professionals who are experts in their field to pass the exam.
The OET measures the four English language skills (reading, listening, speaking, writing) of professionals from 12 different healthcare categories:
Speech Pathology (Speech pathologists)
Optometry (Optometrists)
Podiatry (Podiatrists)
Dentistry (Dentists)
Pharmacy (Pharmacists)
Medicine (Medicine Specialists)
Radiography (Radiographers)
Occupational Therapy (Occupational Therapists)
Dietetics (Dieticians)
Nursing (Nurses)
Physiotherapy (Physiotherapists)
Veterinary Science (veterinary Specialists)
