Why IELTS?

The IELTS test is a widely accepted English proficiency test that unlocks educational and professional opportunities for those who take it. The IELTS test is available on computer (IELTS on Computer) and on paper (IELTS on Paper). Both versions are at the same level of difficulty and have four sections:

Free Preparation Support

Should you decide to study on your own, you can collect a free copy of the IELTS Essential Guide once you've registered for the test with us. The British Council also provides free access to the Road to IELTS online learning platform. 

Information Sessions

The British Council often conducts informative presentations for candidates who are interested in more information on the IELTS test. The presentations are conducted as follows:

Central Location

Our venue is centrally located and easy to access by public transport. We are also located at a walking distance from Abu Dhabi landmarks such as the Corniche and Abu Dhabi Mall. 

Registration

You can register for the test with us by contacting us directly so we can facilitate the registration process with you. If you are unavailable on the above-mentioned days, please reach out so we can facilitate your booking at another IELTS venue.

FAQs

  • When you take an IELTS prep course with us, you’ll sit for a free IELTS on Paper mock test at the end of your course. A free familiarization test for IELTS on Computer is available here.

  • Upon registration, you can collect a free copy of the IELTS Essential Guide to help you revise for the exam. The British Council also provides free access to the Road to IELTS online learning platform when you book your IELTS test seat with any of their partner test venues. You can find out more about free preparation support here.

  • Both exams are at the exact same level of difficulty. You should choose based on whether you’re faster at typing or handwriting and whether your handwriting is clear and legible.

  • Yes, in the Listening section - on IELTS on Paper, you get 10 minutes at the end of the section to transfer your answers from the question sheet to the answer sheet. This is not the case on IELTS on Computer, which will terminate as soon as the audio recording is done.

  • Great question! You can book your seat by contacting us directly - we’ll walk you through the registration process. Just so you know, you’ll need your valid Emirates ID or Passport to register for the test. For the best experience, please bring the original with you if you’re completing the registration at our office. If you’d like to complete the registration online, please email a high resolution color scan to tests@eduplus.ae.

  • You must bring the original, valid identification document you used when you registered for the test. EduPlus and the British Council bear no responsibility for tests missed because candidates forgot to bring the original, valid version of their correct identification document. Copies of the original identification document or expired identification documents will not be accepted on test day.

  • You will be provided with a locker to store all your personal items. The key will remain with you until the end of the test. At the end of the test, you should collect your belongings and hand the key off to the the IELTS test administrator.

  • Absolutely! We’ve deliberately limited the capacity of our test labs to create an optimal testing environment for our candidates, especially those who feel intimidated by larger test venues. Just call ahead of time and let us know you’re coming and we’ll be happy to show you around the venue.

  • You should receive an SMS notifying you that your result is available on the online portal.

  • No, your result will be delivered directly to you - please make sure to provide a working mobile number so the courier can contact you for delivery.
