English for Catering

English for Catering is a course designed for individuals working in the catering and hospitality industry who want to improve their English language skills. The course covers a range of topics including:

  • Vocabulary related to food and drinks, kitchen and tableware, cooking techniques, etc.

  • Grammar and sentence structures used in menus and recipes

  • Customer service and how to interact with guests, including taking orders, answering questions and dealing with complaints

  • Telephone and email communication, including making reservations

  • Reading and understanding food safety and hygiene regulations

The course will use a variety of methods such as interactive activities, role-plays, and real-life scenario discussions to enhance students' fluency and confidence in using English in a catering setting. By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of the language and terminology used in the industry, and will be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, guests, and suppliers.
